The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, strong writing skills, insatiable curiosity and the ability to think strategically and work well under pressure. Editorial experience is preferred, but above all you need to have a passion for magazines, writing and travel. This is a full-time, unpaid position, however a lunch allowance of up to £5 a day will be paid for, as well as your travel expenses within London. Picture Desk Intern, Ink London
Ink London is looking for highly organised individuals wanting to gain picture desk experience. Assisting Ink’s four picture editors on 19 magazines, you will be carrying out online picture research, calling in images, liaising with PR companies and performing general administrative duties. We require hardworking, enthusiastic individuals with great organisational skills and the confidence and ability to use their own initiative. You must be able to juggle a number of tasks at one time as we work within a fast-paced environment with extremely tight deadlines. Much of our picture research is conducted by telephone and often with people overseas, so a confident telephone manner is vital. Most importantly though, you should be an instinctively creative person with a great eye for imagery. Ideally you will have a background in photography and a good technical understanding of the digital image. We are looking for people who can commit for a minimum of two weeks. This is an unpaid internship, however a lunch allowance of up to £5 a day will be paid for, as well as your travel expenses within London. Please send your CV along with a covering letter to lisa.jacobs@ink-publishing.com. Applicants may be required to come in for a quick interview.
